In around 15 Century B.C.. 18th Dynasty Pharaoh Tuthmosis III expand the region of the country to even Euphrates. Tuthmosis III is honored as War God of Ancient Egypt. He erected the pair of obelisks to memory his achievements.

Around 200 years later, 19th Dynasty, Ramesses II ruled the country. During his time, the country reached the peak. Two extra columns of hieroglyphs added on each side of this obelisk.

Thousand years later, Rome Empire move the obelisks to Alexandria port.
